FreeOrion

I just installed the new RC-2 build on windows XP but when I run it I get the following:

E:\program files\freeorion\freeorion.exe
This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the applicaton may fix this problem.

I obviously reinstalled it but that didnt fix it. Anyone else have this problem?

Do you have the .NET Framework 2.0 ?

heh. I read that and complely forgot about it by the time the download was complete.

I bet thats it. I will try it when I get home tonight and see.

I still get the same error message. I've tried .Net Framework 1.1 and then 2.0 without success.

I got it! In my prior attempt i did use .NET Framework 2.0 beta 2.

Using v2.0 instead - does work.
