In a vaguely related topic,
i'd recommend that signatures use a smaller type size, (9 or 10) and/or be colored grey.
The way this forum is set up, ease of scanning through volumes of text is important. Since the signatures aren't well separated from the body copy, that just makes more lines to drag your eyes over.

Even better, this is a small, grey sig.

Re: Avatars— please
I was wondering, are there any limits on the file size or pixel dimensions of an avatar for this forum? Part of my thinking is that other forums I go to allow avatars up to 100 by 100 pixels and I was wanting to use the same avatar when/if I make one.

Re: Avatars— please
Avatars seem to be rescaled to 80x80 pixels. If uploading is working (there were some issues earlier, and I don't know if they've been resolved), anything larger will be shrunk to that size.

Goodmorning all,
For myself I've no avatars prepared, but am more then willing to add one, I didn't see a link to doing so though, if somebody wants to give me three step instructions and an appropriate photo I'll add it.
Best wishes all

Go to the user control panel and choose 'profile' and then 'edit avatar'. There is a gallery with some pictures that you can browse. You can also use pictures from the web or from your hard drive.

Ha ha, thanks.
The reason I went to change it is cause I had a different version of the same face, but couldn't upload the new one (bugs!!!) and now that the bugs are fixed, I changed my mind and like the old one, lol.
It's good when people keep familiar avatars, it's how you recognise them.
