I am still getting a 404 error (the url cannot be found...)

I have tried all the links posted in this thread, as well as the link on the wiki page. Any idea?

You've gotta be getting pretty tired of me by now. Sorry to bother you.

Clicking the links in this post and this post start downloads for me. Perhaps the problem is not with the site or host, but your connection to it?

Here is the content of the page when I click any of those links:

The requested URL was not found on this server.

A correct URL would look like this:

http://n.ethz.ch/student/<user> or
https://n.ethz.ch/student/<user>

where <user> is a your nethz-username.

A guide about student hompages can be found here.

Eine korrekte URL wuerde so aussehen:

Eine Anleitung zu Studenten Homepages gibt es hier.

Yes, it could be a connection problem, however not one I have ever encountered.

It was a Safari Issue. The page was accessible via Firefox.

Sorry for the trouble, everybody.

I'll just go away now...

Morning morning from Sunny South Africa. :-)

First I would like to congratulate everyone on the FreeOrion team. What an amazing project and from the Roadmap it looks like there is so much more great things to come! Keep up all the hard work guys, it's very much appreciated.

I downloaded FreeOrion on Friday and have lost many hours of sleep thanks to you guys :-/

Anyways, enough with the ranting, I just wanted to inform everyone that FreeOrion runs great on Apple's latest OS Leopard (10.5.1) I did expereince the same problem that other people were in this thread (the game quitting immediately after launching) What I did to fix this was to copy the Application to the desktop, then it would launch 100%. After playing with the Config files as mentioned earlier in this thread I came right and managed to run the game from any Directory.

Mac OS X Package --> "you can't open the application "FreeOrion" because it is not supported on this archectecture."

---
Archetecture = MacPro 4x3.0 GHz (Intel, 64bit) with OS X 10.5.2 (9C7010)

I'm running Leopard 10.5.3 on an Intel Mac.

FreeOrion loads fine from Terminal as long as I don't delete the installing package, and loads fine from the installing package. If I try to open it from either Applications or Desktop, it launches but then immediately exits, saying it cannot run on this architecture.

No...
Geoff the Medio wrote:The latest OSX release is about 7 months old. We're currently on v0.3.10 (download from sourceforge, link on the wiki main page) and the latest OSX release was a bit after (the equivalent of) v0.3.6 (actually called RC6 but that's not important).
If you can find someone willing and able to make a new OSX release, that would be quite helpful...

Sorry, I didn't mean to appear pushy.

If it doesn't take any programming skills I would be willing to give it a try.

It installed and seems to be running fine on a 2.4GHz Intel MacBook Pro with 4GB RAM running OSX 10.5.4.

Hi, I'm having some problem starting up FreeOrion. I'm working on Mac OS X 10.5.4.

Here is the output from the command line:

dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/local/lib/graphviz/libgvc.2.dylib
Referenced from: /Applications/./FreeOrion.app/Contents/MacOs/FreeOrion
Reason: image not found
Trace/BPT trap

Hope that helps.

Thanks
