Russian translate
Russian translate
Hi!
I started to update russian translation to serve FreeOrion 0.4 but i`m not sure i can finish it soon. It is over one half done. Anyway, something is better than nothing
I wil try to update translation as fast as i can.
Here is also rus stringtable file for build 4857 and 4890. It is not all translated strings accepted by the game, I don`t know why. Some strings still in default English but should be already Russian.

Re: Russian translate
Great.
You might want to avoid translating strings that have to do with population, farming or health, since these areas are undergoing revision right now.

Re: Russian translate
I`ve just opened for myself a "Latest Test Builds" link ! I guess there is no any reason to finish 0.4 rus_stringtable file but to update latest build rus_stringtable. I started to do it but i`ve got a question about race descriptions. Strings like
should be a kind of variable?
Code: Select all
[[AVERAGE_MINING]]

It is a macro. You don't need to do anything to what is inside the brackets: [[ ]]
It will be replaced with text defined toward the bottom of the stringtable:
Code: Select all
AVERAGE_MINING
''' Average Mining: 100%'''
Re: Russian translate
Now it is ready adopted to SVN4857 rus_stringtable file. Translation still not complete, but macroses should work correctly.
BTW, I`ve found record in str.5325 is it correct?
File updated - it is in the first post now.

GROWTH_SHORT_DESC

Re: Russian translate
Growth, population and farming stuff are still in the middle of transition. That string will need to be changed, like many others.node49 wrote:BTW, I`ve found record in str.5325 is it correct?

Re: Russian translate
I just downloaded build 4890, but it is still old translate for game version 0.3 inside. How can i update Russian translate file for the builds? Can i just regularly update first message here?
BTW:
I guess "and food production" is superfluous .
BTW:
Code: Select all
SLOW_ROTATION_SPECIAL_DESC
'''Construction on this planet is decreased by 20.
This planet rotates about its axis very slowly, causing very long days and nights. Infrastructure growth and food production are reduced.'''

Re: Russian translate
Just attaching an updated (zipped) to a forum post should be fine.node49 wrote:How can i update Russian translate file for the builds?

Re: Russian translate
Updating existing messages doesn't put the change at the top of the new posts list, so it might be missed...node49 wrote:I`ll update attaches in the 1st message of this topic regularly!

Re: Russian translate
Could you post a statement that you release this and any future posted changes under the CC-BY-SA 3.0 license?
Re: Russian translate
Yes, where should I post it? Here or in the stringtable file or both?Geoff the Medio wrote:Could you post a statement that you release this and any future posted changes under the CC-BY-SA 3.0 license?
