A colour distinction, probably not, to be consistent with the existing icons. But there is a difference between the hover and clicked icons in most cases, even if it's not a dramatic recolouring.
Also, what size file do you want the Magnifying Glass? 64x64,128x128, or some other size?
64x64 is probably adequate given that it's the size of most other button icons.
Fortunately for me, most of the icons are already made, so all I have to do is position them properly...
This is a nice way to figure out which tech icons and such may still be needed.
When I'm ingame, well I"m too busy fighting off aliens to notice!
Anyways, I'll probably try to knock out a few more before I'm through...
I'm about 20% of the way through my little project...

Teaser pic.
Pic is reduced in size and quality, and I've cropped out the stuff below that hasn't been added yet.
Yes, there are a couple of unlinked techs - they will be linked later when the relevant techs are added.
This should give you an idea of how this will look when it's done...
Break time!

Hm, I always perceived that more as some kind of a "chat window", so I'd lean more toward something representing speach bubbles. But I guess a letter icon works too... anyone any objections against the proposed icon? Otherwise I'd commit it...
Sloth wrote:There are also 2 great tech icons by Ta'Lon that haven't been added above: System Defense Mines and Planetary Barrier Shield.
You're right, they can be committed too. I guess that got overlooked because our graphics lead has gone inactive and the vacancy hasn't been filled. Anyone any objections?
While we are at it, what about the magnifying glass icons? Geoff, you requested those, what did you want them for?
